Summer Mission Appeals

“I AM

A

GAMBIAN”

Sister Therese Jammeh arrived yesterday to begin a summer long Mission Appeals for the Vice-Province of West Africa and our Cluny missions in Sierre Leone, The Gambia and Ghana.  This is her first visit to the Province and the United States.

She was born in Latrikunda, The Gambia in West Africa. Sister studied in The Gambia and is a qualified teacher with HTC/HNC in Construction.  Presently she teaches Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Quantitiative and Religious Education at our Anne Marie Javouhey Academy.

Sister Therese is also involved in other ministries as Coordinator for the Diocesan Missionary/Holy Childhood in The Gambia; The Gambia Christian Council Youth Group; and Counseling for girls and the empowerment of women both in the school and the Diocesan Level.

We welcome Sister Therese to the United States and ask God to bless her mission work and these summer appeals with support and generosity. She will be making appeals in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and California.  God Bless you, Sister Therese!
