Summer Mission Appeals
“I AM
A
GAMBIAN”
Sister Therese Jammeh arrived
yesterday to begin a summer long Mission Appeals for the Vice-Province of West
Africa and our Cluny missions in Sierre Leone, The Gambia and Ghana. This is her first visit to the Province and
the United States.
She was born in Latrikunda, The
Gambia in West Africa. Sister studied in The Gambia and is a qualified teacher
with HTC/HNC in Construction. Presently
she teaches Mathematics, Technical Drawing, Quantitiative and Religious
Education at our Anne Marie Javouhey Academy.
Sister Therese is also
involved in other ministries as Coordinator for the Diocesan Missionary/Holy
Childhood in The Gambia; The Gambia Christian Council Youth Group; and Counseling
for girls and the empowerment of women both in the school and the Diocesan
Level.
We welcome Sister Therese to
the United States and ask God to bless her mission work and these summer
appeals with support and generosity. She will be making appeals in Rhode
Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and California. God Bless you, Sister Therese!
