Pope Francis
Cluny
Sisters welcome Francis as the new pope, the first from Latin America. Jorge
Mario Bergoglio of Buenos Aires, Argentina is described as "a holy and
prayerful man, devoted to the poor..." We pray for the Holy Father...
THE PRAYER OF ST. FRANCIS
Lord, make me a channel of
thy peace,
that where there is hatred, I may bring love;
that where there is hatred, I may bring love;
that where there is wrong, I
may bring the spirit of forgiveness;
that where there is discord, I may bring harmony;
that where there is error, I may bring truth;
that where there is doubt, I may bring faith;
that where there is despair, I may bring hope;
that where there are shadows, I may bring light;
that where there is sadness, I may bring joy.
Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort than to be comforted;
to understand, than to be understood;
to love, than to be loved.
For it is by self-forgetting that one finds.
It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.
It is by dying that one awakens to Eternal Life.
that where there is discord, I may bring harmony;
that where there is error, I may bring truth;
that where there is doubt, I may bring faith;
that where there is despair, I may bring hope;
that where there are shadows, I may bring light;
that where there is sadness, I may bring joy.
Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort than to be comforted;
to understand, than to be understood;
to love, than to be loved.
For it is by self-forgetting that one finds.
It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.
It is by dying that one awakens to Eternal Life.

New School for Cameroon
The Cluny Sisters are pleased to announce the granting of $10,000.00 from The Dorothea Haus Ross Foundation to construct a small nursery school and kindergarten in Kaigama, Cameroon.
Sister Therese |
In 2007, Sister Therese Beudin, SJC began a farm project to teach young people, with precious few opportunities, how to work the land and teach girls how to process the soybeans and cocoa grown on the farm. The goal is for these young people to become independent and autonomous. Today, the farm is working well and attracting more and more young single mothers with many children in need of care and education. Sister Therese is keeping alive the Cluny mission "to do a little good" wherever they find a need.
